Matched $0.00These chapters are led by core students, guided by a teacher/coach, who organize and present prevention projects addressing issues important to their fellow students throughout the year. The prevention projects focus on distracted and drunk driving, prescription and illegal drugs, teen suicide, dating violence, bullying, and tobacco abuse. The Core Youth Leaders attend monthly leadership and skill trainings preparing them for success beyond high school. The clubs are open to all students without regard to race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual preference or national origin. In 2012-2013 over 8,000 students were impacted with positive prevention messages and 200 participated in monthly clubs led by 50 Core Youth Leaders.
